GERMAN VERSION
Diving in
Sabang Beach and around Puerto Galera
Puerto
Galera can truly be categorized as one of the most biologically diverse dive
destinations in the world. We have never witnessed the profundity of marine
life that abounds within such a relatively small area. Hope the divers,
photographers and even the scientists would be attracted to and appreciate such
biological wonder.

Around
Puerto Galera and Sabang one can find more or less 35 Dive Spots
(link to: 35 Puerto Galera Dive Sites) with an incredible variety
of corals. In less than
5 to 35 meters depth, the diver can find an underwater
coral world which is unique to our
Planet. A coral diversity per square meter
to outscore even the great barrier reef of Australia.
It is a must of all
underwater photographers and all those which are interested in Marine life.
Here you find Spanish Dancers, Frogfish, Ghost Murrays, Sea Snakes, and many
more.
You will find huge giant coral formations all over the sea bed and on
sunny days beautiful
colorful corals are everywhere around this island.

Our House Reef in Sabang is perfect for underwater photography. Here you can
find a fast
variety of snails and other sea creatures. You can also find large
fish, but you have to go
with our boats and those spots are around 10 minutes
from our shores. Near to the canyons
or shark cave you will spot black spots
sharks, but also many turtles, barracudas and Tunas
are circling our coral reefs.
You will
find sea water temperatures in Puerto Galera at
around 23 to 29 Degrees
Celsius, and so Puerto Galera is
perfect for divers with a 3 mm
wetsuit. Low tide and high
tide is in between a few centimeters and 1.5 meter.
It is
therefore advisable that you plan your Dive Spots
with regards to
the current. You want strong current or
no current at all, Puerto Galera offers
both. The visibility
underwater is around 10 to 25 meters, but on sunny days
up
to 30 meters and more can be experienced.
