The Tropicana Dive Shop and Tropicana Castle Resort have
been established since 1991.
The castle, the dive shop and all its amenities
are truly guarantees to experience a royal holiday.
We are committed to show you
the absolute stunning underwater world, country and people and
their culture with
fun and personal service to your satisfaction.
Our Filipino team, with German Instructor under Austrian Management will make
your holiday a
real royal holiday, where the guest is KING.

TRAVEL DESTINATIONS
“Welcome” in the Philippines means “Mabuhay”. The
Philippines consist of 7000 islands and
was ruled by the Spanish more than 350
years, except for Mindanao in the South where mostly
Muslims live. The country
is 90% catholic. Filipino people are very warm and polite and travelers
are
treated very friendly and hospitable. The beauty of the landscape and the warm
tropical
climate are attractions for tourists from all over the world to visit this
country. You have tropical
vegetations in the south and center of the country
and mountains in the North of Luzon and there
it looks almost like in Austria with
pine trees and scenic beautiful lakes. There you will also find
the world
famous “rice terraces” from Banaue. This belongs to the natural wonders of our
world.
In big cities and scattered all over the Philippines, you will find also
the very colorful Jeepneys,
which are used as transportation taxis. This taxis
are very reasonable in price and they are for
transporting people and goods to any
destination needed.
Puerto Galera in particular, is a real attraction for all divers, since it is a
Paradise for lovers of
macro diving and with a coral diversity which is unique to the Philippines and to our planet.
You
will find stunning drop-offs, over-hanging corals in a naturally protected
environment with
swarms of fish and coral gardens with snails and other macro
creatures all around our dive places.

TRAVEL INFO
You can book our resort or diving package directly with

The reason why we cannot purchase any tickets in the Philippines for you
is simply, because
the tickets here are very
expensive and therefore unattractive to any traveler.
If you are a diver, don’t forget your diving brevet and make sure you are in
good health
(perhaps you have a health certificate).
After arrival at the airport and after you have passed the customs counter,
please go out of that
building and cross the road and on the left side go down
a kind of ramp. Once you have arrived
downstairs, please, stay at the sign
board ABC. Opposite you will find our driver with a
plaque-card with TROPICANA
sign. If you have arrived on a package
tour with a booked
transfer, please, don’t leave the airport area on your own. The
transfer from the airport to
Batangas will take approximately 2.5 hours and to
cross with a boat to Sabang/ Tropicana will
take around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
You will sleep in very beautiful rooms with 4 posted beds/ queen or king sized
and will shower
in marbled bathrooms with bath tubs and hot and cold water,
almost fit for a king. All our rooms
have air-condition, electric ceiling fan, refrigerators,
hair dryers, cable tv, wi-fi/LAN internet
connection, and a personal room safe
for your valuable items. As an additional security, a night
guard is on patrol throughout the resort, since we think you deserve with us your royal rest. In case
of a brown out (power failure), 2 large standby generator-sets are at the resort to continue and
guarantee a 24 hour electricity supply.
There are different shops within Sabang, where you can buy basic goods like
shampoo,
toothpaste, etc. Sabang also has night life with discos and bars, but
more quietly perhaps
you prefer playing pool.
At the end of your holiday, we will make
sure that our transfer service will bring you safely to
the airport.
Please, consider that the Philippines is rather very undeveloped for tourism. Sometimes,
things
don’t work out so well like in the west. Sabang beach in particular was
a small fisher village
before and turned into a tourist spot. It is therefore
very attractive to see now how tourist and
locals are living harmoniously
together. You will meet therefore very close those friendly people
and
experience their culture in a very fascinated landscape. Puerto Galera is
visited by tourist
throughout the year. The water temperatures are
approximately 25 to 30 degrees Celsius and
you can dive the whole year.
Please, take care for your visa, customs and vaccinations.
Health: If you are a diver, please
bring your own ear drops, since the local medication is not
the best. In case
you experience any dive related illnesses, we could warmly recommend our

If you leave the country there is an airport tax of 750 pesos,. You can
bring any major foreign
currency to Sabang, but traveler checks only in US$. We
got our own Money Exchange Service
with very good rates and no charges are being added. You
can also use your credit card with us
(VISA, American Express, Master Card) for
payments. Please, consider that there is a service
charge to be added for using
a credit card. You will get the best rate for cash in the Philippines.
The electricity runs by 220 volt/ 60 hz and all our rooms have international
outlets. You don’t
need any adaptors. You can easily reload your diving lamps with
us in the dive shop, but please
bring your own charger. You also have to bring
your own dive computer, in case you don’t have
one, we can rent one to you for
10 US Dollar/ 7 Euro a day.
